The 2026 Medical Equipment Conference and Exhibition was recently held at the Chongqing International Expo Center. Themed "Medical and Engineering Working Together for Innovation and Good," the conference brought together over 700 well-known domestic and international companies, covering an exhibition area of over 70,000 square meters. It showcased innovative achievements in 35 professional fields, including medical imaging, radiotherapy, surgical robots, and smart hospitals, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of my country's medical equipment industry.
As a highly influential industry event in China's medical equipment sector, this conference was hosted by the China Association for Medical Equipment and Technology (CAMIT) and featured six major sections: forums and conferences, exhibitions, results releases, innovation competitions, international exchanges, and science popularization activities. More than 180 high-quality thematic forums were held concurrently, covering cutting-edge topics such as precision diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases, localization of high-end equipment, and artificial intelligence in healthcare. Tens of thousands of representatives from medical and health institutions, research institutes, and industry companies gathered in Chongqing to discuss the future of the industry.
According to CAMIT's estimates, the Chinese medical equipment market will reach 1.44 trillion RMB in 2025, representing a year-on-year growth of approximately 7%. China's medical equipment exports have reached over 9,000 institutions in more than 190 countries and regions, with a compound annual growth rate of 9.4% in import and export trade volume over the past five years, fully demonstrating the dual leap forward in the international competitiveness and brand influence of "Made in China" medical devices.
More than 30 enterprises from Chongqing, including Haifu Medical, Xishan Technology, and Jinshan Technology, exhibited independently. Districts and counties such as the High-tech Zone, Liangjiang New Area, Dadukou District, Shapingba District, and Banan District, along with 88 enterprises including Zhongyuan Huiji, Kaici Medical, Demei Medical, Pumenchuang Biotechnology, Leiming Vision, and Fosun Xingmai, joined forces with 10 institutions, including the Southwest Branch of the National Medical Products Administration, the Chongqing University Smart Medical Equipment Research Institute, and the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University, to showcase 295 smart medical equipment products. A batch of "Made in Chongqing" medical equipment, with its innovative approach and benevolent spirit, depicted a heartwarming picture of medical technology empowering people's lives and safeguarding health, becoming a major highlight of the exhibition.
At Hall N5 of the Chongqing International Expo Center, HIFU Medical, a representative enterprise of original high-end medical equipment in China, showcased its focused ultrasound technology for non-invasive organ-preserving treatment of benign and malignant solid tumors, including the HIFU knife, HIFU Star, and home-use ultrasonic joint massagers, attracting many visitors to learn about and experience its products.
This exhibition highlighted cutting-edge technologies and innovative achievements in my country's medical equipment field, with several "world's first" and "first-in-China" products making a stunning debut. These cutting-edge technologies are rapidly being transformed into powerful tools for safeguarding people's health.
Surgical robots were a focal point, with Fosun Pharma showcasing its domestically produced da Vinci Xi surgical system and Ion bronchoscopy robot, leveraging their high precision and minimally invasive advantages to support precision medicine.
The conference featured a "Artificial Intelligence + Healthcare" themed exhibition area for the first time, with Mindray Medical showcasing its Qiyuan large-scale model and multi-scenario solutions, promoting the deep integration of AI and medicine and painting a new picture of intelligent diagnosis and treatment.
Brain-computer interface rehabilitation equipment was a highlight, allowing visitors to experience a "mind-based rehabilitation" training device on-site. Xiangyu Medical showcased its electroencephalogram (EEG) machine, building a full-cycle rehabilitation ecosystem of "acquisition-decoding-feedback-training" to support the innovative development of rehabilitation medicine.
