The 38th Zhejiang International Scientific Research and Medical Instruments & Equipment Technology Exchange Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the "Exhibition") opened in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on the 30th. The exhibition, themed "New Quality, Future, Healthcare for Shared Prosperity," covers an area of 30,000 square meters and attracted 571 domestic and international companies, showcasing technological achievements and innovative products in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence and smart healthcare. As the first provincial-level medical device industry event in the Yangtze River Delta region in 2026, it attracted nearly 10,000 professional visitors on its opening day.

The exhibition features ten professional exhibition areas, including endoscopy, ultrasound, skin aesthetic treatment, and traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation, as well as a special area showcasing international innovative technologies, totaling 725 booths. Domestic exhibitors account for 91.5% of the total, with over 70,000 products on display both online and offline. On the first day, many domestic companies' independently developed products became the focus. From basic product iteration to leading high-end equipment, from single equipment upgrades to overall solution innovation, the exhibition comprehensively demonstrates the strong momentum of China's medical device industry accelerating towards high-end and intelligent development.

This year's exhibition featured a "China Medical Device Australia Export Matchmaking Conference" for the first time, providing on-site interpretation of new regulations for the Australian medical device market and offering professional answers and targeted guidance to companies regarding overseas market access and compliant operations, offering professional support for the smooth "going global" of domestic medical device companies.

On the same day, the "6th Zhejiang International Equipment High-Tech Field Matchmaking Conference" showcased cutting-edge medical equipment technologies and innovative solutions from numerous overseas companies and the Western Australian Government Trade and Investment Bureau. Through project roadshows and technology matchmaking, it built bridges for exchange and cooperation between Chinese and foreign medical enterprises, helping Zhejiang's medical equipment industry align with international advanced levels.

To enhance the intellectual property protection capabilities of medical and health institutions and address the pain points in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, a "Training Course on Intellectual Property and Achievement Transformation for Medical and Health Institutions," jointly organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Medical Science and Technology Education Development Center, the China Intellectual Property Training Center, and the West China Hospital Management Institute of Sichuan University, was launched concurrently. The course provided systematic training on practical content such as patent mining and layout, and the process of achievement transformation.

The highlight of this year's exhibition, the "2026 Life and Health Innovation Technology Exchange Conference and the 10th Domestic Medical Device Innovation and Development Conference," will be held tomorrow. The conference will launch two provincial-level platforms and an innovation competition, building a new framework that integrates science, education, and talent; combines medical research with enterprise collaboration; fosters government-industry-academia collaboration; and links competitions with the exhibition.

Over the next three days, a series of concurrent events will take place. Experts, scholars, and industry elites from government departments, hospitals, universities, enterprises, and investment institutions will engage in in-depth dialogues on technology discussions, experience sharing, and policy interpretation, continuously stimulating the exchange of ideas within the industry and jointly constructing an innovative ecosystem that integrates medical research with enterprise collaboration and industry-academia-research-application linkage.
